Some important factors the team takes into consideration to determine if you’re a candidate for rhinoplasty include:

• You’re healthy
• You don’t smoke
• You don’t have any medical conditions that could delay healing, such as diabetes or kidney disease

In most cases, recovery takes about a week. Your doctor gives you at-home care instructions and follows up with you a few days after your surgery to remove the soft splint that is supporting your nose as it heals.

You’ll likely notice swelling and tenderness around your nose for the first week as it heals. In most cases, you can return to school, work, or other obligations after a week.
